SQlab 702 2.0 Grips – Maximum Comfort for Touring, Commuting & Everyday Riding
The SQlab 702 2.0 grips are designed for riders who prioritise comfort, support, and control on longer rides and daily use. Built specifically for trekking, touring, and commuter bikes with a moderately upright riding position, these grips deliver a refined ergonomic solution that reduces hand fatigue and improves overall ride quality.
At the core of the 702 2.0 is SQlab’s advanced pressure distribution concept, developed through extensive ergonomic research. The large, wing-shaped support surface increases the contact area of the hand, spreading pressure more evenly and reducing strain on sensitive areas such as the ulnar nerve. This helps prevent numbness, tingling, and discomfort—especially on long rides or rough surfaces.
The grip platform is slightly angled to match the natural position of the hand, while a raised outer edge provides additional stability by supporting the outer palm where the body can best absorb load. This combination creates a stable and relaxed hand position, even during extended periods in the saddle.
Underneath, SQlab’s distinctive Ergobar forms a wave-shaped contour that aligns with the natural curl of your fingers. This creates a defined grip line, improving control and reducing the effort required to hold the bars—especially useful on uneven terrain or longer touring days.
Comfort is further enhanced by the integrated shock-absorbing lamella structure, which dampens vibrations from the trail or road. This reduces fatigue in the hands, wrists, and upper body, delivering a smoother and more controlled ride experience.
The 702 2.0 also features SQlab’s 3D size system, where grip length, diameter, and wing size increase proportionally across sizes S, M, and L. This ensures a precise ergonomic fit based on hand size—critical for achieving proper pressure distribution and long-term comfort.
For added versatility, the grips are compatible with SQlab Innerbarends® 410 and 411 2.0, allowing riders to introduce an additional hand position for improved comfort on long-distance rides. The integrated chip interface replaces traditional bar plugs, giving a clean cockpit finish and enabling easy installation of accessories such as mirrors.
Whether you're commuting through the city, heading out on multi-day tours, or simply looking for maximum comfort on your daily rides, the SQlab 702 2.0 grips deliver a noticeable upgrade in ergonomics, control, and fatigue reduction.
